The Economy of Communion (edc) hopes to bring together around 100 young people in July this year for an international immersion and training school in its entrepreneurial and social culture. Expected languages: Portuguese and English.
Lasting one week, from July 20 to 26, the school will be held at the Mariapolis Ginetta events center in Vargem Grande Paulista, the place where the Economy of Communion was founded.
Young people between the ages of 18 and 35 who have an entrepreneurial profile, are involved in social projects and/or volunteering for the Economy of Communion Network, the Economy and Work community, the Genfest 2024 event, as well as young people from the Economy of Francis network, are invited. Registration for the event is open to young people from all countries with this profile.
The school aims to disseminate and connect young people to the culture of the economy of communion based on themes and realities that are central to the eradication of poverty and to a new way of thinking and doing economics.
“We will pay special attention to young people who are discovering their vocation for dignified and transformative work, as well as those who feel the call to an entrepreneurial vocation, offering practical tools and inspiration so that they can integrate the principles of the Economy of Communion into their careers, projects and initiatives.” Sarah Gomes, Advisor to the Research and Initiatives Network, edc Brasil
To guide the themes, the Economy of Communion must bring together people and organizations that orient their companies, their work and their life choices towards the eradication of poverty and a new business culture, focused on values such as social justice, regeneration and fraternity.
"We want to get young people to reflect on their personal choices and to realize that changing the world requires systemic thinking. To this end, we will address issues such as leadership and management based on the Economy of Communion, the competence to develop and support projects that connect opportunities and vulnerabilities, as well as sharing good practices from the business and social world, with plenty of space for exchange and dialog," added Sarah.
During the International School, visits and immersions in companies and social projects are planned, as well as workshops with a variety of dynamics.
