#EoF: New dates Side Event, Perugia 20-22 November 2020

With a press release dated March 1, the Organizing Committee of "The Economy of Francesco" postponed the event until November. The Side Event, scheduled in Perugia for the end of March, in line with the new date of the main event in Assisi, will be postponed too

The preparation of the event The Economy of Francesco, proceeds with great commitment and enthusiasm: as known, it has aroused wide interest all over the world and foresees the active participation of about 2000 young people from 115 countries. In order to facilitate the best development of the initiative, given the objective difficulty that in this moment of uncertainty many people are having in travelling internationally and nationally due to the ongoing Coronavirus epidemic, the Organizing Committee, in agreement with the Holy See, has decided to postpone the event until November 19-21, 2020 (preceded by two days of pre-event). The choice is dictated by the desire to ensure that the event takes place in conditions of greater serenity for all participants, no one excluded!

As a result, the Side Event, scheduled in Perugia for the end of March, will also be postponed, in line with the new date of the main event in Assisi.Logo EoF Side Event rid

We will maintain the same structure scheduled for March, reprogramming the meeting, in support of the work of young people, from Friday, November 20 to Sunday, November 22, 2020 (from the night of Thursday, November 19 to lunch on Sunday, November 22): registrations are open again, to proceed in the best possible way with the organization of the work and continue on our path with the energy and responsibility placed so far.

We inform you that the bookings already made through the tour operator with whom we collaborate are kept active, and are automatically postponed, in order to simplify the process, maintain the conditions and the heterogeneous presence (interesting, both geographically and in terms of professional profiles). Please modulate your flight booking as soon as possible to the updated dates. If you have objective difficulties in being present on the new dates, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by 20 March.

Promoted by the Economy of Communion, the Side Event is essentially a space open to anyone who believes in the need for a different economy: an inclusive place, functioning as a spokesperson for multiple realities. In the awareness that the current economy often fails, since it can work well for some, but clearly does not work at all for (many) others, while also threatening the social and environmental ecosystem, we will dialogue between young and old, between different cultures and backgrounds, experiencing the event through 3 generative dimensions: feeling-conceiving-acting.
