From Tucumán, Argentina, La Novedad flourishes: more than a new enterprise, a "new" enterprise.

From northern Argentina, where lemon groves mingle with the buzzing of bees, La Novedad is born, a beekeeping company inspired by the Economy of Communion. More than a new enterprise, it is a new enterprise, where ownership is shared and work becomes communion.
Our community is made up of over 120 members spread across Argentina (and the world), who with dedication and hope have reached La Novedad in 400 provinces and more than 600 hives. The honey we produce not only nourishes the body: it generates opportunities, education, and a future.
Fifty percent of profits go to scholarships for young people at Sophia University Institute, sowing seeds of new humanity. The other 50% remains available to each member, who can reinvest or share it again, multiplying the fruits of the common good.
Every drop of honey is the fruit of the communion experienced by all members, who believe in a new culture and a new economy.
Chiara Lubich reminded us:
«Everything depends on us. When we see a business born, we must encourage it to grow like a child, so that it can be an example for many others around the world».
(Castel Gandolfo, January 5, 1992).
Founded in 2022 after an Economy of Communion meeting, La Novedad is growing as a model with a triple impact—economic, social, and environmental—demonstrating that production can also be an act of love and that a new economy begins when many come together to regenerate life.
