Various local members of the Economy of Communion actively participate and support the activities.
The proposal also includes a visit to El Volcadero, a former garbage dump that has now been transformed into a symbol of hope and dignified work. There, families who once lived off garbage collection are promoting new forms of inclusion and care for the environment, showing how life can be reborn on the margins of the system. Entrepreneurs from the Economy of Communion, together with other local organizations, have created training workshops in trades that have provided dignified employment opportunities for the neighborhood's residents, as well as workshops on community leadership and the construction of bathrooms and housing improvements to enhance the quality of life of the residents.
During the experience, participants in the Economy of Communion 2026 meeting will be able to share activities with local families and volunteers, learn about educational and trade projects, and reflect on how communion can heal social and economic wounds.
