Terzo, ormai irrinunciabile appuntamento con la Summer School dell'Accademia Mediterranea dell'Economia Civile di Taranto. Dopo le esperienze molto positive vissute a Ostuni nel 2010 e nel 2011 ritenute dagli organizzatori stessi "sorprendenti", sono aperte le iscrizioni alla nuova edizione 2013, che si svolgerà dal 25 al 29 luglio a Martina Franca (TA) presso la Casa San Paolo, Contrada Lanzo.

“Towards a Bridging Economy”

The Summer School “Towards a Bridging Economy” will be held in Portugal in the little town of the Focolare Movement called “Arco-Íris”, close to Lisbon, from 11- 15 September 2012. It is for students and young business people from 19 – 32 years of age who are interested in learning more about the EoC. A Summer School that has emerged in a context that is not lacking in challenges posed by the crisis, felt in an acute manner in European nations; a crisis which, according to Luigino Bruni, shows “above all the need for people to re-find enthusiasm for relationships, to find  creative ways to come together and generate new productive activities, new employment opportunities…” so that “today’s dreams may be directed to production and generating.”

From September 11 – 15, 2012, in Portugal, the First European EoC Summer School

"Towards a Bridging Economy" " will be the title and the leitmotiv for the first European EoC Summer School, to be held from September 11 – 15, 2012,  at Mariapolis Arco-Íris, near Lisbon (Portugal).

All students and young entrepreneurs (from 19 - 32 years of age) from all over Europe are invited. The school is organized by the International and Portuguese Commission of the EoC, in collaboration with the Catholic University of Oporto in Portugal. It will be held in English.

Dal 22 al 25 giugno si è svolta la prima edizione della Summer dell'Accademia della Cura

A tre anni dalla sua fondazione, l’Accademia della Cura sperimenta una nuova formula di incontro tra operatori del sociale nella prima Summer School, che si è tenuta a Vasto (CH) dal 22 al 25 giugno, dedicata ai temi dell’innovazione e dell’individuazione di nuovi bisogni.

Già dal titolo “Non hanno più vino”, che fa riferimento alle Nozze di Cana, la Summer School intendeva richiamare l’attenzione sulla necessità di saper leggere il presente per cogliere i nuovi bisogni delle nostre comunità e poter sviluppare soluzioni adeguate e innovative.

EoC Escuela de Verano 2011: weighing it out

Luca, if you had to describe the sensation that you have after these days, what would you say? 

I would say that I feel like related this trip to magical realism, one of the most celebrated styles of Latin American literature, not only for the magical illusions that Galo Pozo usually used to conclude his excellent presentations on business organization. Magical realism, in which the capability of the author is reflected in making even the ordinary extraordinary, we remember the meaning of a charism: it's a gift of new eyes which make us see things that others don't see. Magical realism reminds us of when Mary said "they have no more wine" at the wedding of Cana and Jesus produced the surplus, in quantity and quality of the wine. It was his first miracle. It wasn't by chance that this was the passage of the Gospel that I heard in this chapel in Malpensa before heading off for Argentina, and it's an idea that has constantly stayed with me during these days.
