In Ivory Coast, EoC's relations with the academic world continue to grow: on Friday, December 5, a conference was held at the UCAO entitled:
Restoring the economy. Can fraternity transform the economy?
source: EoC Ivory Coast report
The conference brought together students from a number of Ivorian academic institutions with which the Economy of Communion has been building relationships for about a year and a half, including CERAP, IUGB, and ICMA, as well as priests, religious men and women, and young professionals. The meeting took place in a rich and attentive atmosphere, characterized by a strong interest in dialogue between the academic world and the EoC experience.
The numerous questions and interventions from the participants showed a real desire to understand how fraternity can have a concrete impact on current economic models and contribute to the construction of a more just, inclusive economy oriented towards the common good. For our Ivorian EoC team, this moment was a valuable opportunity to deepen their formation and renew the way they present the principles and practices of the EoC to an increasingly knowledgeable and demanding audience.
In addition to academic exchanges, the conference allowed us to establish new meaningful relationships with several participants who are interested in continuing the reflection and collaborating on future initiatives related to the Economy of Communion. The event thus strengthened the presence and visibility of the EoC in the university context, confirming its relevance and timeliness.
A simple but incisive event, which encourages us to continue the mission of the Economy of Communion with renewed unity, professionalism, and hope.
