On Saturday, May 24, at 2:00 p.m. (CEST), the EoC family gathering is back:
EoC Global Gathering: Flashes of life & roots
Here is a preview of the program for our next meeting on Saturday, May 24, to encourage many of you to experience it live. We will meet as usual on Zoom starting at 2:00 p.m., but this time our meeting will be in a “hybrid” format because the connection will be made live from the Polo Lionello Bonfanti during the Italian EoC Convention entitled: “Roots of the future: pathsways to a possible economy.” We will start by giving the floor to Maria Gaglione, co-head of the Italian EoC secretariat and CEO of the Polo Lionello Bonfanti. We will ask Maria to tell us what this year's Convention is about.
We will then move on to our news section, “Flashes of EoC Life,” listening to some EoC life stories from around the world, which tell how, through work, entrepreneurship, and study, it is possible to free oneself from the constraints of exclusion and social vulnerability and rediscover one's full dignity.
We will begin by connecting with Paraguay to learn about the story of a worker at the EoC company TodoBrillo. Next, we will hear from Jerome NIbaruta, EoC representative in Burundi, who for several years has been coordinating microcredit programs in his country with the CASOBU association, supported in part by profits from EoC companies around the world.
Our virtual tour will continue across the Pacific Ocean to the Philippines, where we will hear the experiences of Jared, Angeleca, and Roma, three students from the community of Laurel, a place with beautiful landscapes but very vulnerable to landslides during typhoons.
We will conclude this fifth edition of our EoC Global Gathering—a little shorter than usual—with an overview of the events in the EoC world in the coming months, revealing where the international event for the 35th anniversary of the EoC will be held in May 2026.
If you have already participated in even one of the four Global Gatherings that took place between December 2023 and December 2024, you will receive the link to connect on Saturday, May 24. If, on the other hand, you are participating for the first time and have not yet done so, you must register here. Registration is essential in order to receive the link to participate: there is still time! The meeting will be multilingual with simultaneous translations. We look forward to seeing you there!
