Economy of Communion: a solution to the challenges of today´s economy

On May 4, 2010, Vittorio Pelligra, professor of Economy at the University of Cagliari and at Sophia University Institute (Florence, Italy), will hold a conference on the Economy of Communion at the University of Pompeu Fabra (UPF) of Barcelona. The conference is entitled, "Economy of Communion: a solution to the challenges of today´s economy". The event will be part of the 14th World Unity Week, during which the Youth for a United World throughout the world organize activities to promote the ideal of universal fraternity. Students of the UPF association called Deba-T are also promoters of the event. Their group, a little more than a year old, proposes to contributing to help students form a critiquing spirit and form their ideas. 

This is why its members - belonging to different political ideologies - organize conferences with top members of Catalan politics and economy. It will deal with current topics, and discussion will be part of book that will compare liberal and socialdemocratic ideologies in the 21st century. The next appointment, on Tuesday, May 4, is dedicated to the Economy of Communion.
