II puntata della rubrica settimanale "Il pensiero economico in Caritas in Veritate", della trasmissione "Caritas Insieme", andata in onda il 19 e 20 settembre 2009 su Tele Ticino.

In questa puntata Stefano Zamagni, descrive come il tema del progresso tecnologico sia visto nella Caritas in Veritate: il papa ci invita a non cadere nel cosìdetto mito tecnologico che è il mito che afferma che sia lecito fare tutto ciò che è tecnicamente possibile realizzare. Un mito che, se perseguito, avrebbe come conseguenza il verificarsi di una dominanza della scienza sull'uomo, togliendo spazi di libertà.

February 6 and 7 in Cadine (Trentino) was the First EoC Forum for Young Entrepreneurs and Workers:

"Youth at Work"

The Eoc Commission and New Humanity of Triveneto, together with youth and young entrepreneurs, organized a weekend entitled, "Youth at Work." It was a chance to face the challenges placed by the working world and businesses, especially in Northeast Italy. The youth present arrived from the three regions of Triveneto and began the weekend with a ski-trip on the slopes of Monte Bondone, followed by a Happy Hour and a movie. What then followed were presentations by two experts and a group session to compare notes.
Other appointments are in the plans to continue the adventure begun! Topics of interest were the generational passage in a business and the dialogue with EoC entrepreneurs.

The Swiss television broadcaster Svizzera Caritas Ticino has made a special on the Economy of Communion which was aired on December 5.

The Economy of Communion in Switzerland

In Advent, the SCT presents a meeting and a reflection on the economic thought of the Economy of Communion of the Focolare, starting from the Pope Benedict XVI´s encyclical Caritas in Veritate. It includes personal interviews with economist Luca Crivelli, professor at the University of Lugano, and Fabio Janner, a civil engineer - both attentive within the Swiss reality to an economic vision in which profit is no longer the final goal but is accompanied by cultural, human and spiritual growth.

In 2009, the Economy of Communion has reached adulthood: in fact, 18 years have passed since it was launched.  This new step was marked by a series of events which took placed between February and June of 2009, in Eastern Europe, Argentina, Brazil, Italy and Spain.
