L'utile messo in comunione e poi destinato agli scopi dell'EdC è la "divisa" dell'EdC, condizione necessaria (anche se non sufficiente) per essere parte del progetto. La prima idea forza del progetto fu mettere gli utili in comunione, suddivisi in tre parti: per lo sviluppo dell'azienda, per la formazione culturale, e per l'aiuto agli indigenti.

Le imprese che aderiscono all'EdC attribuiscono pari importanza a ciascuna di queste parti, e ogni anno distribuiscono i loro utili secondo questo criterio.

Data on the allocation of profits, the census of the companies in the world, the culture of communion, and a survey on the identity of the EoC

A whole year of the Economy of Communion: data and information provided on the EoC Report range from September 2010 to September 2011. The report is divided into three parts: businesses, culture of communion, the poor; calling this the “3 thirds” of the allocation of profits, the foundation of the EoC project. Numerical data and colorful graphics are easy to understand as it accompanies the history of the project’s twentieth year from the protagonists themselves.

Note: the attachment containing the survey on the EoC’s “Identity and Future” was done by Simona Di Ciaccio during the International Assembly last May 2011 in Brazil.

For the first time, the report includes not only the usual data on the use of profits but also the census of businesses in the world and news on the culture of communion

The 2009/2010 Economy of Communion Report is online

Report2010_Cover A whole year of Economy of Communion. The data and news reported in the EoC Report go from September 2009 until August 2010. That is why it is the "2009/2010 Report". In the prior two editions, in 2008 and 2009, the EoC Report gave an account of the use of the aid (shared business profits and private contribution) and the projects underway to create new jobs in EoC business and support the start-up of microentreprises.

Althought that part is still fundamental, there is much more in the 2009/2010 Report: from results of the Census of EoC businesses in the world, launched in 2009 and concluded in July, to the spreading of the culture of communion, starting with Benedict XVI's Encyclical that cites "the civil businesses and businesses of communion", and continuing with presentations, convenctions, schools... The "numeric data" is accompanied by very colorful graphics and explanations.

Starting this year, a special edition of the newsletter, "Economy of Communion - a new culture" will be dedicated to the Annual Report on the destination of EOC aid. This allows the maximum spread of what was thought up as an instrument of "reciprocity" and communion among all actors of the project, including: the entrepreneurs that annually give their profits generously and trustfully, the many people who help make the EOC project a reality by their communion of goods, AMU and its private and institutional representatives, and all who ask the EOC to be always more capable of giving an account of the communion that is lived and promoted.
