Il 24 ottobre scorso è stato inaugurato al Polo Lionello Bonfanti il Poliambulatorio Risana. Può raccontarci qualcosa della sua storia?
RISANA è nata nel febbraio 2008.  Conta attualmente una ventina di soci ed ha come propria specificità ed elemento fondante l’adesione al progetto di Economia di Comunione. L’attenzione agli indigenti, alla formazione, allo sviluppo della azienda e la ricerca di un modello gestionale partecipato sono i capisaldi dello statuto e dell’ azione della Cooperativa.

In recent decades a broad intermediate area has emerged between the two types of enterprise. It is made up of traditional companies which nonetheless subscribe to social aid agreements in support of underdeveloped countries, charitable foundations associated with individual companies, groups of companies oriented towards social welfare, and the diversified world of the so-called ‘civil economy’ and the ‘economy of communion’ (No. 46).

It is rare for a specific project to be given a favorable mention in a papal encyclical, but “Caritas in Veritate” seems to present an exception. When Pope Benedict XVI described the “broad intermediate area” between nonprofit and for-profit sectors with the buzz-phrase “economy of communion,” some connected the dots with the Focolare movement’s network of businesses in which profit serves as “a means for achieving human and social ends” (No. 46).

Ecos do encontro EdC – Bélgica, 9-11 de Outubro

Chegámos há três dias à Mariápolis de Roselaar, na Bélgica, a 30 km a oeste de Bruxelas, onde pudemos visitar o pólo EdC, com as suas duas empresas. Para nós que costumamos encontrar-nos na Mariápolis de Arny, passar ali estes dias significou uma verdadeira descoberta, porque ali vimos realizado tudo aquilo que, para nós, ainda é só um mero desejo dos nossos corações: vivemos num centro de encontros com uma arquitectura bela e pura, em harmonia com as pessoas que nos acolheram e se puseram à nossa disposição. Também foi possível, apesar de sermos provenientes de diferentes culturas, conhecermo-nos em profundidade, num clima caloroso de confiança recíproca e viver a comunhão.

Luigino Bruni, docente de Economia Política na Universidade  Milão-Bicocca e coordenador da Comissão Internacional EdC, foi convidado a participar em duas conferências nos Estados Unidos, entre 15 e 17 de Outubro. Esta visita marcou um passo em frente no diálogo iniciado há tempos com os académicos norte-americanos, e com os muitos protagonistas ou curiosos do projecto de Economia de comunhão (EdC). “Temos necessidade da amplitude desta visão, de ver como vão, lado a lado, teoria e prática, para nos podermos manter sobre os carris da inspiração originária de Chiara Lubich” - comentou Joan Duggan, empresária de Nova Iorque, e presidente da Associação da EdC, na América do Norte.

The economy of communion is a project based totally on love, solely on love. ? Chiara Lubich, May 26, 1996.

For almost two decades now, there exists a new form of business enterprise operating in the market based on solidarity of the people involved in the endeavor. Following a peculiar set of principles to address social and economic problems, this new approach of managing an enterprise is called "the Economy of Communion (EoC)."

The EoC was launched by the late Chiara Lubich, founder of the Focolare movement in Sao Paolo, Brazil, in 1991. Deeply struck by the extreme deprivation of people in the favelas (slums) surrounding the modern skyscrapers, she urged the Focolare community of Brazil and challenged each one, particularly the entrepreneurs, to build a new type of economy where the profits of an enterprise could be channeled toward three goals: to help the poor; to form "new men and women" living the "culture of giving"; and to further develop and expand the business.

O 24° Congresso de EdC da Argentina realizou-se em Paraná, de 11 a 13 de Setembro

A ‘EdC’, um "estilo de vida"

O 24º Congresso EdC da Argentina realizou-se entre o meio-dia de sexta feira 11 e a tarde de domingo 13 de Setembro, na cidade de Paraná. Estiveram presentes 116 pessoas: 63 empresários, 28 trabalhadores de empresas EdC, 5 estudiosos, 11 estudantes e 9 entre clientes e fornecedores de algumas empresas aderentes ao projecto. Eram 49 os que participavam pela primeira vez, dos quais 17 eram empresários e 20 trabalhadores.
