Polo_Ginetta_ingressoThe Ginetta Business Park has its headquarters near the town of Santa Maria, Igarassu (PE), and is the second Economy of Communion Business Park in Brazil. It owes its name to Ginetta Calliari, co-founder of the Focolare Movement, for the role that she had on the development of EoC in Brazil. Ginetta Calliari in fact, immediately adhered to the EoC proposal and was deeply convinced of the project’s response to the complex social problem of the country.

The Business Park’s main mission is to promote and give visibility to the Economy of Communion (EOC), welcoming small and medium-sized companies that adhere to this new style of economic action, whose spirit is based on the enhancement of human potential, in a context of freedom and participation. It is, therefore, committed to reducing inequality with efficient business principles of profitability and social-environmental responsibility..

A little bit of history:

In 2002, the first act for the birth of the Business Park: the constitution of the Company: Polo Empresarial EdC do Nordeste S.A..

In 2003 a lot of 8.3 hectares was purchased and in 2005 they invest in the construction of the Business Park. In 2007, the inauguration of the first warehouse. Today, two companies are in business: the Prodiet Farmacêutica Ltda, specialized in trading and distribution of medical products, and From the Road Ltda, studio of bags distributed throughout Brazil and beyond.

The Business Park structure is composed of, in addition to two warehouses and at the headquarters an administrative office, a fully equipped 25-seat room and two additional offices available for service companies. The third building, under construction, will bring the Business Park area to 900 m2.

Today the Business Park, in addition to initiatives for a wider audience, hold training sessions for entrepreneurs in the Northeast and moments dedicated to those who live and work in companies linked to the Economy of Communion in the region.

The current shareholders of Ginetta Business Park are 1,110. But how can we forget the strength and courage of the first 113 shareholders who brought this project forward, often with great sacrifices? In this slide show are some photos of the Business Park and the people who work there:
